St. Louis Public Schools to open high-tech school - St. Louis Business Journal:

The high school will provide 125 ninthy graders with some of the most advancedd classroomtechnology available, according to the release. The three organizationd will work totransform St. Louis Publi Schools' into an advanced learninvg facility, with wireless technology, Dell notebooks, printers and networik servers. The school is being developed by a teamof parents, community members, businesses and community-basef organizations. It will serve as a model for how technologt can improvestudent grades, attendance and graduatio rates by using computers pervasivel in instruction and school said St. Louis Public Schools Superintendentf Dr. Creg Williams, in a statement.
"Fodr our children to be successfukl and competitive in college and in the rapidly changinghjob market, it is imperativs that they have access to up-to-date and relevanyt technology today," Williams said. In addition to helping design and implementthe project, Dell DELL) will provide teacherxs with ongoing professional development on effective use of technology as approved by St. Louix Public Schools teachers, administrators, students and parents.
